The compartment lid on my 1100LT has the top tab broken off. I can make one but I need to know what it looks like.

Anybody?

Mike - which compartment? The fairing pocket on the right? The radio pocket on the left? The compartment in the tail cowl behind the seat?

The tail cowl behind the seat.

I figure it is some sort of "L" bracket made of plastic, and must be put in top side first, then lowered in place.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

If your talking about the top tab for tail cowel cover, I think that it's more common for them to be broken than not.
And actually I think that the lid sets in the bottom first and is a slip-snap fit into the top.
Mine broke not long after I got the bike. I just use a little bit of D-tape on each side of the cover just to keep it from rattling. It's behind the seat, no one can see it.

Ride safe

Mike - here you are

The two angle tabs are at the bottom (on the left in the pic), the single tab is at the top.

Thanks Jim. Looks like a small "Z" shaped bracket made of spring steel fastened with pop rivets should do.
