ON the weekend I went for a ride and noticed that the locknig nut that that holds the adjuster where the fast idle/choke arm comes onto was missing. Could someone help me out with a part number for that nut, so I can re-order it, it looks the same as the one that locks the one on the throttle cable/body
Cheers
Lou

Just noticed in the manual the following, so I'll need clarification if there was one there, in the online manual, it says "e Caution:
Screw (2) is sealed with lacquer and must not be
turned." and it doesn't show a lock nut on page 13.6.
Could someone verify this?

OTG,
Thanks for the reply, I should have made myself more clearer, I'm talking down the other end on the throttle body.
cheers

I'll bet $10 that you are describing the mechanical interlock fittings between the throttle bodies.
These are factory set, and BMW recommend that they are not disturbed.
This is an FAQ, and has been exhaustively discussed on this forum.
It is not the same as adjusting the pilot air screw on each throttle body, which is the standard method for balancing the airflow and givving a smooth idle. _________________ C1 200 (2001)
