K1100 LT 1993 - Recently moved to Canada but can come south
This lovely green LT has spent virtually all of its life in NE states. The second and previous to me owner had it in Lebanon, CT from 2001 until May 2008. In that time not a lot of miles were ridden - approx 22,000 but a lot of major work was done on the bike - new clutch, water/oil pump rebuild and two 12,000 mile checks that included all items and spline lubes and brake system flushes. I purchased it on eBay and brought it North to Ontario with the intent of having a second bike, a BMW of course, that would be for short trips and to tinker with. I have acquired new parts - windscreen, head bearings, etc, as both are a little worn. The bike runs wonderfully and gets great (50+) MPG on the highway. Shifting, etc is BMW perfect. Brakes work well, ABS needs a reset. tyres are nearly new macadams. I was getting to all of this then was told last week that I am "gone" out of the country to the land of "no toys" for the next 6 (+) months. TIME TO DOWNSIZE! DARN IT! So, the LT has to go. Mileage is 75,420 as of today... it will increase slowly. PRICE? 2695.00 USD - pretty firm. Delivery to Ogdensburg, NY or Watertown, NY or will help to arrange shipping/crating. Jim:: I added the IBMWR text after his ?? not realizing his link had no price....
50 mpg could happen if you go slow....When I ride with my Hardly Davison friend, I get in the 50's too....We go so slow in the mountians, its painfull. Needless to say, we dont ride much. |
