I can't make caliper mounts for the LT like I have on the RS. But I do want to move my fog lights (i.e. daytime "SEE ME" lights) down from under the fairing to the calipers so my lighting is more spread out.
I just bought some of these off of eBay which I think will allow me to mount some small fog lights on the exposed lower caliper bolt.
I'd put on Motolights but I refuse to fork over $300+ for friggin' aux lights. Since my fog lights are $15/pair from WallyWorld, I'll call these puppies "Cheapolights."
Aluminum corner brackets:

About 3.4" x 3.4" x 1.7"
I'll report back once I've drilled them, had them powder coated and installed them. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

G'day Duck
I had thought about putting my driving lights down there but they are too low.
I am still looking for a pair of mirror mounts for my drivers. Any idea where I can get some? Without being charged a arm or leg for them. _________________ Ride safe

Drake slap a set of RS fenders (rear) on the LT and your other brackets should fit fine.
I think LT users with motolites need to modify their fenders anyway as the rear cowl goes down to the caliper. I know I cut the green ones before I put on the RS fenders.

The lower bolt is exposed. I went out and measured things before I bought those angle brakcets. The fender is above the lower caliper bolts but sticks out 1 1/4". I measured the lights and if I drill a hole out near the end of the bracket things will fit perfectly. The biggest brackets I found were 3.4" which should be just enough.
The proof will be in the pudding however.
I'd considered doing the rear half RS fender thing but they didn't make the RS in Pine Green('cuz it'd be fuggin' ugly) so I'd have to go with a repaint. And I kind of like the LT fender too. And you know me, I keep my bikes as stock as possible.
I'll prpobably do the same lights on my RS too since I think my current lights stick out too far.
LT mirror brackets: Can't remember if I found them on IBMWR or FleaBay but I do remember it took me a couple of years to find them - same thing my city bags. And being patient just kills me - being an American and all. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I rode with Jim one day when he was in Seattle. He's got Motolights down there.
I think youre' right about mounting driving lights down there though. When I had FF50s above the top caliper bolts on my RS they would sometimes not be able to see over a rise. And that's where the roos hide, right? And moutning them on the lower bolts of an LT they'd be even lower. Good spot for making a "visibility triangle" but maybe not so hot for night lighting.
