It's been just a little wet around here
This is East Main St road.
Here's a perfectly good dry bridge, our state hwy14 north.
But it doesn't do a darn bit of good when the road is lower than the bridge
This is another alternate northern exit from town, well normally.
This area has started to recede a little bit today, but I think it's going to come back up by the weekend.
These are nothing compared to some other areas around the state. Des Moines, Cedar Falls, and Coralville are doing partial evacuations. At least we are a little luckier than that. _________________ Ride safe.

Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting those.
Here in the Pacific Northwet, in the fall we actaully get salmon trying to swim across flooded roads in order to spawn. It's an annual occurance. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Scott,
Any idea about the water levels in the Quad Cities? Went to school in Davenport years ago. I remember seeing old high water marks up on the sides of buildings and having a hard time believing that the river could come up that far.

John,
have no idea about the quads. I have heard and seen the Cedar Rapids took a biiiig hit downtown. Some FEMA individuals have said that the C.R. flood damage was worse than the Katrina damage. _________________ Ride safe.
