My local tech was amazed when I told him how slow they are shipping. He gets parts in 2 days. I ordered a left heated grip in March and the order is still "processing." Fer Chrissakes, it could have come from Germany quicker. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Chicago BMW is slow. Others like A&S and Bob's are definitely faster. _________________ 2000 R1100RT

Chicago does that when they don't have the particular item in stock sometimes. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

When I ordered some parts over the internet they indicated it would take 4-5 days. After 12 business days I called them to inquire as to the status of my order. They told me that the parts just came in and that they would get them right out to me. After another week I called again. They apologized and said that they had been so busy it was hard to get things out the door in a timely manner. They sent my parts the next day via DHL and I had them the following day.
I think if I am in need of parts in a quick manner I will either call in the order to confirm delivery or go somewhere else and pay more. _________________ 1993 K1100LT

Chicago BMW once sent me a damaged part, which I waited over two eeks to receive. When I called and complained about the lead time, I received the second shipment in only 4 days. _________________ 2000 R1100RT

| Chicago BMW has always treated me well. A transmission from Germany arrived in Chicago a week after ordering, then another 4 days to AZ. It seems that they only get 1 order a week from Germany, so if you call after the order was sent over it could take another week. |

I ordered from them two weeks ago and still haven't seen anything. I called them today and they said that they had just gotten a shipment in that has not been unpacked yet. They told me what I had ordered is on the list of what is in the shipment so hopefully I wll see it next week. It's holding up my spline lube Though, while waiting I was able to score a remus exhaust off ebay. It is in great shape and only $72.11 shipped. _________________ Rich

Times are tough… It recently took a week and a half (+/-) to get a few parts from A&S. They were saying that they were short staffed. _________________ 1993 K1100LT/On going project

Chicago BMW can take a while. You get the service you pay for. If it's a part you cna wait for then it's worth the 20% off IMO. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I think the only reason I got the muffler at that price is that no one was willing to take the chance that it was repairable. _________________ Rich

I just got a package from them five weeks after ordering. They had everything in two weeks ago but after multiple phone calls they just shipped it on Tuesday. I don't think the aggravation of waiting and calling was worth the savings. _________________ Rich

Got my heated grip yesterday. Ordered in March. To be fair, I didn't push them too much after the weather warmed up. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

I pretty much only use MaxBMW now.

Fantastic costumer service. (meaning if they do not have something in stock they actually tell you)
Plus they throw in a pack of M&Ms and a BMW decal with every order. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006
