Johnny and Micki came up to my cabin for the weekend to do some eating/riding. (Johnny has most of the food pics.)
Route:
Red: I rode down to Tacoma and up to the cabin on Friday to meet them.
Blue: Our Saturday ride out to Neah Bay and back.
Green: Our Sunday ride on the Port Townsend ferry and then up to where they're staying in Burlington.
Black: My 70 mile slab home after dinner Sunday evening.
I hear something purring at the top of the driveway:
Breakfast at the Chimacum cafe the next morning. What a lovely couple - of K bikes in the background. We met a guy there on an 85 K100RT who had owned it since new.
Leaving the cafe for a good long ride:
The motobricks make it to the coast. Too bad it waas a bit cloudy on the way.
Kato at the coast:
He looks like he's ready to go surfing:
The Bug and Buggette in action: (I'l use more camera zoom next time)
My red beast:
Johnny learned how to shuck oysters:
I made breakfast the next morning:
Mmmmm......bacon....
Blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries Johnny brought from Wenatchee:
Mr. Eagle paid us a visit:
Sunday was a nice warm sunny day. We want up to Fort Flagler State Park Sunday morning to check out the gun emplacements and get some shots in the K11OG gear:
What I saw in my mirror for many miles last weekend. Those lights Johnny has are nice.)
The motobricks at Deception Pass on the way back to Burlington for dinner.
Johnny suggested having a K11OG meetup at the cabin in early Augst next year. No lodging expenses and a nice place on the water. I'd be glad to host it. If you live a long ways away come anyhow. Not having any lodging expenses will offset the money you spend on gas. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Cool - thanks for the pix. Now we know for sure that the bug eye brick, JO and Micki are not just figments of Johnny's hyperactive imagination . _________________ Jim

Wow. How much room do you have?
It would take some scheduling (week-long trip), but I'd be so THERE.
Someone should start a thread in the Meetings forum. _________________ tlp

Only the Reasonists. They believe in an evidence-based world, something called Rationalism. But it's a tiny group, not so influential.

I've probably got beds, cots, hammocks and fold out couch with enough room for 13-15 plus floor space and space on the deck if you've got a pad and sleeping bag. There's also places to camp outside for those willing. I don't think that space would be an issue unless we start looking at 20+ people. And even then, there's a pretty nice state park only a mile away with a large campground. Weather and temp usually aren't an issue that time of year but it is the Pacific Northwet so there's always a 5% chance the weather could suck - not a veyr high probability but possible. In which case we'd just stay inside, get drunk and eat. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
