Hello, friends.
I'll follow the exemple of Shoganai and put all my pictures posts in only one post, named "Riding in Brazil".
I believe this will simplify the board.
Today, after some time in the bike shop, my KLT went back to the road, and me and Adriana went riding to São Roque, a little place some 60miles far from São Paulo.
The day starts a little rainy, and I went to TV to see the Hungary F1 GP, only to see Felipe Massa broken his Ferrari engine 3 laps from the end of the race.... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
But after the wheather improved a bit and we left the house to ride.

Narrow and twisty roads....

Little cottage farms known for its rustic wineries.

To eat, we find a good italian restaurant, and, sad, nothing wine for us....

But a good fetuttine with artichoke and sausage sauce, with a bit of stripped parmesan cheese. Delicious!

The restaurant.

A souvenir shoppping.

Chocolate for dessert.

Guilherme.

Enjoyed your pics, looks like a beautiful place to ride. And what's up with the Ferrari popping an engine...they rarely do that.

That was a surprise to me, too!!!
And only 3 laps to Felipe Massa wins the race!
The F1 engines, due to the rules, must last for 2 races, and the gearboxes, 4 races. So, the probably of a broked engine is high in the second race.
But Felipe has tallent, and I believe he will outrun Hamilton and Haikkonen!

Well, today is Wednesday, and rarely this happens: Nothing of work to me today!! A sunday in the mid of the week!
So, what to do????
Ride my KLT, of course!
Heading to the beach, in the Imigrantes Highway.

Boracéia beach. Nobody in the sands....averyone is working!

Do you guys have this in the USA? Quebra-Molas, a inverted bump to slow down the traffic?

Gasoline, please. In the left, we have 100% Ethanol, made from sugar cane.

Petrobras gives the gasoline to Willians F1 team.

What color is your trash?

Toque-Toque beach.

Calhetas beach.

The sign: snakes on the road?!

Guaecá beach.

Barequeçaba beach.

Windy backroads....

That cloudy land is an island: Ilhabela.

São Sebastião city.

Now I must rest, because tomorrow I must work...
OTG, when you'll came back to Brazil, we could make that road toghether: my KLT is in you disposition. Smile Or anyone that have the courage to came to Brazil..
Guilherme.

Amazing pics Gui, the great thing is that we visited those exact same spots, and stayed a night in Ilha bella!

UbaTuba is great as well. When we were there they were having an international surfing competition.

Too bad is was pouring rain.

Didn't stop the surfers though.

That road leading down the shoreline is amazing riding, up and down mountains with massive twisties.

Sunday, sun, a cool wheather....perfect for a 500miles ride!
Heading north taking the Bandeirantes Highway.
Near Campinas.

Now, some twisties, in the São Pedro Mountains.

Here, a scene of Piracicaba Sierra.

Arriving in Jaú city.

Now, I'll see the Beijing Olimpics Games, to see Mr. Phelps swimm.....I think that he must compete with sharks and dolphins, to have some fun!

TOday is sathurday, and the day begins rainy..... Laughing
Don't matter to me!
Put the rain clothes on and planned a 250miles trip, to Tapiraí and Juquiá, returnig to São Paulo via Regis Bittencourt Hwy.

The KLT runs more refrigerated in the rain.
A stop to lunch in a old train wagon restaurant, near Piedade.

The bikes.

We have rhinos, too!

And some others things......

Guilherme.

Dr G, I like the pics. NICE Very Happy Very Happy
Not sure how your bottom side or Adriana's bottom side feels after some long rides, but you should consider getting rid of that factory seat for something better.
Was one of the best things I did was changing the seat.

Today is sunday, night here in Brazil, and I just arrived from a 680miles trip with the KLT with 2 friends to Tiradentes, in Minas Gerais state.
We left São Paulo, Yesterday, in the morning.

Here are my motorbrick and the Itmamar's R1200GS, in the gas station in the Trabalhadores Highway.

In the Mantiqueira Mountais, in the 1932 monument. Here is the São Paulo/Minas Gerais state limit.

My Friends, Itamar with the R1200GS and Rubens with the RoadKing.

Here in Cruzilia, stopping for a snack.

Now some pictures of the road. I take that for myself, 'cause Adriana couldn't go this time.

Here Rubens, almost reaching Tiradentes.

Later more pictures.
Guilherme.

So, we are in Tiradentes, a 16th century village, with a lot of Hystory!
A toast!

A little friend, that stay with us in the bar.

Some views of the Tiradentes' streets.
The pavement is 16th century original, and is a challenge ride the brick in this!!!! Shocked Shocked

That 2 floor building is our hotel, a 17th century house converted.
The name is Pousada Tres Portas, or Tree Doors Hotel.

A sight of the city.

Today in the morning, after a good breakfest, packing the things in the bikes.

Manual arts local made.
That ladies are made to stand in the windows of the old houses.

And this are wood Saints.

Wearing the Jim recommended reflective vest.

"Los Tres Amigos", ho!!

Local Traffic.

The river is full. Our summer is very rainy.

Local houses.

OTG, that's the distance to your place.
Give a week with my KLT and I'll be there for a beer...

That all for now.
Guilherme.

Jim.
Yes, the Viseon guys send the vest direct to my house!
They are very friendly and ultra-fast shipping!
And maybe someday you could come to Brazil, of course! You'll love the old towns of Minas Gerais.
Tiradentes was named in honor of a great hero called Tiradentes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiradentes

"Joaquim José da Silva Xavier, known as Tiradentes (August 16, 1746–-April 21, 1792), was a leading member of the Brazilian seditious movement known as the Inconfidência Mineira whose aim was to shake of the Portuguese colonial power and create an independent Brazilian republic. When the plan was discovered, Tiradentes was arrested, tried and executed. Since the 19th century he has been considered a national hero of Brazil."

The name was 'cause Tiradentes was a practical dentistry, in the old Brazil.
