K ready for surgery. Quadruple bypass but she'll be fine, don't worry.
Pulled the wheels off.
Calipers off.
Checked wheel bearings. (Smooth!)
Painted wheels.
Mounted OTG's lightly used, mismatched radials. The tires look AWESOME! Front needed no balancing and the rear only 3/4 of an ounce. Can't wait to try them when all the blue ice leaves the driveway.
New bobbins or bushings, whatever the hell you want to call them, on Duck's lightly used discs.
Ripped out out old brake arteries.
Transplanted House of Hoes stainless in their place.
Put in new plugs.
New brake pads to go with the discs. Thanks, Phil, for those and the spring bobbins or whatever the hell you want to call them.
New left heated grip and replaced OEM grips with Duck's recommended grip.
Now I just have to put it back together and start the brake fluid transfusion.
By the way, the little YammerHammer Viagra in the background is wifey's new ride. Got to get her endorsement yet but she had it out around the neighborhood a little last fall.
It's kinda fun to ride!

Every time I look at your "Johnny in the Outhouse" avatar, I think for a moment, that Johnny is responding! It's worse than 2 red bikes and 2 Scotts
My wife got tired of seeing me on my knees (in the shop anyway ) so she got me that lift for xmas. The only thing I don't like about it is the 1-800 number on the side. It's got side panels so you can put a ATV on it (if I ever get one) and an extension in case I ever get a chopper. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Should probably have 911 on the side instead of 1-800.... _________________ Jim

I'm just curious how you got the bike on the lift with the ramp connected to the rear and the rear of the lift directly in front of your bench? Roll it on over the front?
I'm thinking about a lift, just trying to look at my options.
I have Handy Industries that makes them right here in town, but they don't seem to want of offer a decent price(nothing less than full suggested retail) for a local purchase and pickup. _________________ Ride safe.

Nice clean shop! Lift, metal cabinets, the works!
Is that a Virago 535? I always like those. |

It's a 250, which is great. I put a 17 tooth front sprocket on it and now it will go 70mph!
Sorry Jim, I missed that. The written word, you know!
The metal cabinets are from the hospital where my wife works. $65 for 14 feet of them. All i had to do was put a top on them! _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Sorry Scott, I missed your question. I loaded it from the back. Normally I would have had the lift turned around and loaded it from the garage door side but the bike was backed in and was staying that way due to snow and ice outside. So I loaded it and took this...
And did this...
I just added wheels to the rear of the lift and pushed the whole deal back out of the middle of the shop. A buddy looked at what I did and said I was crazy but it was actually pretty stable. Now I've got to go the other way to get it off. I'd look into getting this lift if I were you as it came all the extra goodies like side panels, length extender and a really nice jack for about $100 more than the handi-lift.

Between your black final drive fetish and this shop incontinence you REALLY should seek medical help.
