Driving in to work the other morning, the Jeep's engine starts tapping.... Instantly turns to knocking, and BAM. Turns to dead motor.

As in "Need A New Motor." At 114k. Meh.

But, on the upside, I have no excuse *but* to ride in every morning for a week.

But, on the downside, It's April in New England. Cold. Rain.

But, back on the upside, I still have no excuse *but* to ride in every morning for a week. Warm, waterproof pants and boots and shell, heated jacket, heated grips...

Ouch sorry to hear mate. Strange because those Jeep straight 6's are notoriously long-lasting engines. I know because my 2000 Grand Cherokee has 190,000 miles and still going strong.

I hear ya about the riding daily, but remember that it adds a good half hour of prep to my time.
