I use that setup all year round, every time I park the bike in the garage. A great product |

Yeah, they're great. My oldest one is 5+ years old and still going strong. The best part is that you can just leave the BTJ plugged into the wall even when the bike isn't hooked up. I have one hanging on the garage wall next to where I park each of my bikes. Pull in, park it and plug in. The color changing LED is a nice feature too. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I have the same BT, (hanging from the ceiling too!) but I have to physically take off the side cover and hook up the alligator clips to the battery leads.
How do you mount/use the quick attachment? _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Just snip the wire ends and strip them. (It's a good idea to keep the inline fuse. )
Get a Powerlet plug. They come apart with a screw and then there are screw-in terminals for the wires inside. A five minute job. (30 for you. ) _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I have found that putting some solder on the wire leads makes the screw connection better. Less chance of the wires spreading out. _________________ Ride safe.

The powerlet I bought had a pigtail on it that plugs right into the cable on the BT Jr. Bought it at the local BMW shop for $15.00 _________________ 1993 K1100LT

Imagine that, the powerlet plugs cost $15 as well. _________________ Ride safe.

FYI: Those are generally referred to as "SEA" connectors.
I really don't think there's any need to solder the connection in the Powerlet plug if you just hooking up a trickle charger. There's very little current flowing through the plug. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
