|
|
I'm going to install a vistacruise universal throttle stop on my K1100 LT. Can anyone give me a clue as to which is or how to access the bolt that holds the handlebar clamp on the front master cylinder/brake lever assembly. I see a few smaller screws and bolts. Do I have to renove a cover or is it staring me right in the face?
Thanks, _________________ '93 K1100 LT

At the bottom of the button cluster is a small screw, remove that & lift off the cluster. the big bolts are underneath.

It's an Allen head bolt on the lower back. The screw on the fornt holds on the switches.
Be careful not to overtighten it after you've moved the perch. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks to all. I found the screw, then allen head and installed the Vista Cruise. Not difficult after looking at it awhile, but lousy instructions! I moved assembly inboard to make some room, and was going to try and move the grip outboard. In the end, I installed it and then returned all to its original position, and bent the inside flange of the grip back on itself (folded back) and left it without cutting the rubber. Everything is now back to its original width and feels just like before. And I didn't have to leave a jagged cut on the flange rubber. Looks great.
