here you go...
the motobrick gps...
all gave some... some gave all... we will never forget...
somewheres close to jackson ca...
crazy how them maps work... aint it...
satruday... after a visit to sopiago... off to fiddletown with mr and mrs old surf dog...
we made it to the mormon immigrant trial...
the sign says road closed in 23 miles... we look at the map and figure out the north south road is 15 to 20 miles... we proceed...
at 14 miles we find a truck stuck in the snow... so we turn back...
back to sopiago...
some of the socal contingent...
i met tim...
after a few hours of meet and greet and eat... to the pioneer lodge...
cooks station sunday morning...
heading up ca 88 to carson pass...
lotts o lakes... and streams... and waterfalls...
heading up ca 89 to monitor pass...
heading to topaz lake...
the goal was to ride to the top of the sonora pass then return to monitor pass and then ride back to the central valley over ebbetts pass... no go...
so... up 89 to see monitor pass from the 395...
wow... its a beauty...
so far it was like heaven up in the high sierras... but things were about to get really interesting...
everywhere we look... mother earth doing her thing...
any questions... i didnt think so...
what a beauty of a place... the road was perfect... the weather was perfect... the scenery was of this world... but barely...
riding past the pacific grade summit...
alpine lake... a man and his dog... swimming in the lake... crazy aint it...
manic salamander...
down... down... and away...
you meet the nicest people on a honda...
and on a motobrick... at least the back seat of a motobrick...
out of the big hills and into the little hills... ...
then onto the flat land... it was like heaven and hell... kinda... one wave of heat after another...
there you are...
