Getting stuff I need to build and mod a K75. Wanted to find some multi-pin connectors that wouldn't break the bank. I oredered a bunch of them for things that don't carry a lot of current. (Switches that trigger relays, gauges, LEDs, stuff like that.)
Only $1 each and come in 2, 3, 4 and 6 pin configurations.

wouldn't radio shack carry these things in the electronics section? probably could even get them from a computer store as that looks like the stuff in my case. just a thought. _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |

They do carry them, what about water proofing? _________________ 1993 K1100LT

The BMW connectors under the tank aren't waterproof. I suppose I'd worry about that if I had a GS I was going to cross streams with but it's really not a concern to me.
Easy enough to waterproof them though if I cared. Dielectric grease on the inside and liquid electrical tape on the backs.
I know lots of people like to wire stuff to aerospace/NASA standards but I'm not one of them. It's just a street bike afterall.
One thing I do like about these though is that they have two crimps on each pin, one for the wire and one for the insulator, so they should make for inexpensive but durable connectors.
I've tried the Radio Shack multi-pin connectors before. Don't like them, too bulky. These look smaller and better suited to my needs.
I'll report back when they show up. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

We use the Molex R.S. connectors on our instruments. Indoors only. That's cool I like to find new tips/tricks/technologies to work with. Please keep us informed. _________________ 1993 K1100LT
