Hi,

My K11RS (93) has had the ABS gubbins removed, in the past and I now need a new rear disc. It's well worn and slightly warped, judging by the slight pulsing through the lever.

Looking at the rear wheel, I'm trying to work out if the ABS ring acts as some sort of spacer, meaning the replacement must have the ring, or can I use the disc for a non-abs bike?

Anybody got a clue? Aftermarket part numbers would be useful, too, if anyone knows any.

Cheers!

Hi
I had to replace the rear disk on my LT, I got an EBC floating one from Motorworks here http://www.bmwandguzzispares.co.uk/bmw/products/product.php?f=i&code=BA_15_40_IA_55&shnew=New&model=K75%2F100%2F1100&shnewcode=15&part=Brakes&sub_part=Brake+discs+and+fittings%2C+rear&modelcode=40&partcode=IA&source_code=BA_15_40_IA_55&header_text=&header_text_image=0

part number BRA00661.
It is a different part number from the Non ABS one but not sure if there is any differance in the hub thickness.
You will have to use EBC pads as well for the warranty though.
Seems Ok to me, and their service is very good too.
Rob

The rear ABS ring is attached to disc brake carrier with three screws and a tight fit.

Not used as a spacer - can be left off if ABS is inop.
