Still remember when I just got my first K (an ex-police bike, so the PO had put a metallic "plum" tint over the white, so it was fairly distinctive!) and had the local Honda dealer wander up while I filling up for a look-see... Was most amazed that the bike had only done 5000kms, till I pointed out that BMW speedos have 6 digits, not 5, and it was 50000kms...
He got a bit grumpy when I followed up with "Makes it much easier than guessing how many times it's been round the clock!"  |
