New to BMW. I just bought a 94 k1100lt w 45,000 miles for $3000. Seemed a great price for a highly rated bike. I also own a 2008 HD Electra Glide Classic that I put 12,000 miles on since last year. I bought teh BMW to replace my Harley when I ride to work. I need a work horse and the BMW k1100 sure will fit the bill.
Ive read all your articles and appreciate the time and input you guys have put into theis site. My K11 is in good shape and needs paint and some TLC. I just got a front fairing to replace the bondo one I have. I DO need a K1100 fairing brace if anyone knows where I can find one for winter replacement it would help.

Welcome to the fun house! Great group here!
You got your hands full with an LT & repainting or changing out the fairng, hope the mechanicals are all good to go.
Pictures, we need pictures. Especially a before & after!

Welcome aboard!
I recently got into the BMW's also. I did that job also to get mine on the road. Check FLEA Bay, for parts, or possible a good mig welder would square it away.
