hey y'all,
just thought i would toot my own horn a little. i'm heading out tomorrow to go to chicago (flying, non-brick style sadly) to run the marathon on sunday. i've been training a decent bit, but definitely not going to set any records. 
if you would like to track me you can go here to sign up to receive email and or text updates 4 times throughout the run. all you need to do is put in an email address, password, and search using just "monsh" in the last name field to find me. i'll be the only one there.
anyways, anyone else ever run this marathon or another or done something similar?

Hi, Supercat1,
I once carried an ESPN cameraman on the back of my bike during a marathon. Does that count?

wow ... what constitutes bad weather if projected start temp is 35F? but it does look like the precipitation has moved out of the forecast. so that is good. i'm really looking forward to this! and yeah, just ready to be done myself.

Hi, OTG,
Wrong bike! In those days I was riding an R100RS. I hadn't yet turned to the Dark Side. And my R100RS had no topcase. And since the race covered both El Paso and Cd. Juarez (Mexico), I couldn't carry the dwarf Mexican Matador because he didn't have a Green Card.

just a little heads up -- completed the run in 4:45 and some change. a little longer than my goal of 4:30 but i'm still proud of just finishing.

Good job, I saw lots of runners in shorts, spectators in winter clothes. How were the conditions?
