Hi Guys,
haven't posted for a while - there's been some personal and family health issues - all now mercifully resolved.
Back on with my projects now - K100 Streetfighter, K1100 Race Rep, K1100 Trike [ Trad layout ] and just started work on a "Y" Trike layout using a spare K1100RS powertrain.
My R80 Flat Tracker has had to take a bit of a back burner role - only because I'm into the electrics phase now - one I really loathe!
I'm having a replacement Stainless Steel exhaust system developed for the Kays with a major UK manufacturer which will allow a variety of aftermarket end cans. This all started when I needed an upswept underseat system for my Race Rep.
I've also been developing a set of hi-po ignition leads - don't know about the US, but here in the UK a set of k1100 leads [ 4 leads ] is almost £100 !!
We have a mixed weather situation here - Saturday was raining, cold - today is bright and sunny with 17 degrees [ c ]! Ideal biking weather and not ONE of my bikes is on the road - futtox. There is a promise of an "Indian Summer" for the next 6 weeks or so - guess I'll have to get one of the bikes out there before the Winter layoff - Yes, I'm a whimp these days, I now ride only for pleasure, and riding in the rain is not a pleasure to me!

Hey Beechcomber!
It's been awhile hasn't it, good to hear your OK.
I still like my RAM shock. $ is tight, but I'd like to hear about your hobbies so please do post now & again about how that exhaust is coming along. My stocker is still holding up, but ya never know about the future.
I love to ride, so even in the rain and mid 40's temp I'm out & about and I'd always rather ride IT to work rather than the auto.
Best regards. _________________ 1993 K1100RS that I'd rather be riding FAST!

I just installed Magnecor 8.5mm competition spark plug leads on my RS. I paid $68 for the set.

Hi Duck,
I went down the same route in the Summer with Magnecor - slightly more expensive here in the UK, but still a damn site less than BMW OEM prices!
One company I'm liaising with at the moment makes leads in 7mm, 8mm., and 10.5mm [ !! ].
They manufacture everything here in the UK and are willing to make special end caps IF required.
I expect to have the finished productionised lead set in 2-3 weeks time - also a price at the same time.
I've been trialling the leads [ my k1100RS and a pal's K100Lt ] for over 6K miles now - no probs.
Hey Jim - glad to hear that you're still loving it!
OTG - we've just been promised an "Indian Summer" - official, temps in the 17's [ c ] and NO rain for at least 2-3 weeks. That'll do nicely.
ATB guys
