|
|
Guys,
Yeah still working on the 1996 K1100 LT. Duck sent me some nice bar backs for a trade but I found out after 1/2 day that:
1) you can move all wiring to instrument panel if you lower the fork tubes and reroute them
2) the damn front brake hose is too short by at least 2-3 inches
Has anyone else replaced the front brake hose with a longer one? And where would I get it???
Bummer. _________________ 1996 K1100LT, 73K (bought at 61K on 2006)

I've found on some bikes that loosening the banjo bolts ever so slightly and changing the angle will help. Not sure about the LT though.
Another alternative is to find local shop to build you one. Might as well get braided stainless while you're at it. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks guys for the heads up.
Spring is hear so I plan to do some riding this year - may replace front brake hose once I figure out where to put all my handelbar switches.
Looked funny - best bet is to redo the wiring and put the switches in the fairing with easy disconnet plugs.
Or I'll just keep RIDING!
