I haven't been on the board here for awhile, as my K1100 was knocked over by an RV owner in a highway rest area this past summer. At first, when returning home, he wouldn't admit fault, so it took 2 months to get through that and have my way cleared to get the bike fixed. Then, it was fall, so I rode it for a month and dropped it off for repair, after my insurance expired. Now , 10 weeks later, it is painted and ready to reasssemble. A local bike shop is reassambling it with my help. The main problen is that the old fairing frame almost fell apart when disassembled. I had a newer frame that came with the bike when I bought it. Unfortunately, it turns out it's from an K100 and not a K1100. So I'm in the market for a used straight front fairing frame.

Are you talking about the "Ï" beam support that the fairing connects to?
Good luck with that....one of the weak points on the bike. Can and will break on a tip-over, will break/shake loose almost any weld and difficult to weld/repair at that. (most will require fairing disassembly)
I was looking for one for 3+ months but finially got it welded....for the 3rd time. If you find one, snap it up. If you find one for under 200 bucks, snap it up quick. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006
