The plastic fluid level window on my front master cylinder was leaking and I need to replace it and the oring that goes with it. It pretty much fell apart upon removal so I'd rather not try the epoxy fix. Would anyone know where I could find one? Thank you....

Hi,
I just looked at the parts fiche, and there is no part number for the window. It appears it is only available as part of the "set, cylinder and piston" for $371 or the complete master cylinder including brake lever, etc. for (if I remember correctly) $432. These were gotten from Max BMW's site. I have a used master cylinder I bought 4 or 5 years ago and never used (instead, replaced the piston in the unit on the bike), which I'm willing to sell. Beemer Boneyard has none at the moment, but if they had one, their price is $150 for the master cylinder. They list NEW master cylinders for $229. I'll sell my used one for $125, shipping included. PM me if you're interested.

Thanks for checking it out for me Phil. I just rebuilt the cylinder and was filling it up and noticed the leak so I kind of hate to buy the whole master cylinder but do appreciate the offer. Maybe someone has a trashed cylinder and can pop it out.

Well, I got back on the road today. I ended up having to make a window, its installed and not leaking. Thats just one of those items that rarely if ever goes bad so I can see why they don't list a replacement. There is an oring in there and that's what seals the window. The way the window fits in there it would have been difficult to pop out as I had to pop it in with a small C-clamp to make it seat. Thank you all for you your help and advice on this.....
