Hi everyone,
I went down to the Joburg classic bike club this morning.
There was a damm good turnout. The local Jaguar club had been invited, most of them parked up and opened the hoods. Maybe our mild Autumn weather was a little too warm.
A damm clean Ducati, not sure what model it is ?
A Sunbeam outfit with Matchless
Honda CB750F in pristine condition
A nice condition K100
A couple of nice boxers
Honda CB450 Black Bomber, very rare
My K1100RS
Yet another classic boxer
70's 650cc Bonnie in superb condition
Not sure if this Ural was parked in the mud by a poser for the “All terrain, GS look” or if he just got stuck while testing his knobblies.
Yet more boxers
A damm clean Norton, not sure of the model
Last but not least, a real nice Norton Commando.
Next week we are doing a 750km brekky run around the Free State.
Pics will be posted.

Malcolm,
Your RS and mine could be exact twins except you have a colormatched lid on your top box.
I believe that the first picture you posted is a Ducati Pantah 500.
Thanks for all the pictures!

Correctamundo on the Pantah, lovely little machines.
I noticed a rather nice Laverda Jota to the right of the photo of the two boxers.
BTW, pretty sure that Honda 750 had aftermarket exhaust system, they should have those ugly 4 seamed mufflers to be original. Mind you the aftermarket systems were much better looking IMO.
You should know by now a Jaguar with it's bonnet up by the side of the road is a Jaguar in it's natural state. There's a whole industry based on replacing the bonnet hinges alone. _________________ K1100RS '97

Thanks for sharing the pics, I'm a real fan of the classics.

And that a Jag actually running down the road is just trying to get home. _________________ '93 K1100LT

Hey Rydor,
I’m not a fan of four wheel, seen one car, you seen them all. I’m kidding, well sort of. This was the first time I’d seen a car club invited, there isn’t a great deal of parking and the dozen jag took up way too much space. Interesting very few people were milling around the cars.
Drikko,
Is the Pantah in its original paint ? It looks like a wannbe K1. Last year the local Laverda club visited, I’ve got some crackin pics, will post soon.
Your spot on the 750F has an aftermarket exhaust, they don’t last forever even with Joburg’s altitude and dry climate. _________________ ******************************

Couldn't be sure, it's definitely Pantahish, but they had many different liverys over their history. _________________ K1100RS '97
