I am looking for feedback on an aftermarket windshield that will give the passenger more protection from buffeting.

Check out Aeroflow's offering - it is BIG but also removeable. I loved mine in cooler weather.

The ad-nauseum you refer to is limited to discussion of driver only.

I happen to be very fortunate to have a wife that loves to ride with me.

At least on my LT the Cee Bailey +4 Euro generates more turbulence than my +4 Parabellum in a standard shape. I ride half-helmeted or helmetless Shocked though so am more aware of it I guess than someone with a fullface.
