I know most of you guys (and girls) have already put some miles on, but the weather in the New York area has been iffy. We had a storm a couple weeks ago and many trees are down, and the roads are a mess.

Well this weekend was perfect, and I got to go out for a nice ride. It felt great! The bikes have been sitting in the garage way too long. The K1100RS started right up and ran great. The K100RS did not want to wake up nicely...but was finally coaxed into clearing its throat.

Any way, just a ramble...it is good to be back on two wheels. Of course today it is pouring....

Joe

Remember that we are in northern NH.....(strange weather)

Last week I got out on the bike 4 different days with our son and then with our daughter and Cathy riding pillion. Guess I have about 500 miles so far.

Hope to hook up with the other NH guys soon.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hi all....

Had my 'ol R100/7 Airhead out a few days of unusually warm here in New England last weekend... BUT just too much sand, crap and winter residue remaining on the roads to risk damaging the "K" bike... IT WAS GREAT to be on two wheels again after our long winter hibernation....eh John ?

Best regards all......../ Ernie-NH

+1 Ridin'

Those Burgman scoots are the most easy starting machines I've
ever rode...

Both the SO & mine started immediately...

The K not so easily & after hitting the brakes & rollin' foward, no
funny noise from the ABS & the flashing lights kept flashing... Sad

This may be the deciding year whether to keep the K or let it go...

Confused Confused Confused Confused

Good morning Kent.... ( Blackhoof )

IF you do decide to sell the "k".... be sure to let the forum folks know first and well in advance. Some of us can just NEVER have too many bikes to work on !

very best regards ...........// Ernie-NH

I had my first decent ride last Sunday. Kept the bike on the Battery Tender all winter, except right before snowstorms, when I would put it on the tractor. I still had 20W50 in the bike, so I put my shop light under the pan turned on to help warm that a bit. She started very nicely and settled into a nice idle. Lots of gravel still on the roads, but otherwise a very nice day.

It may just be a weak battery. This happened to me last year. New battery and no more problems.

Nicely trimmed & fitted electrical tape/bulb pulling solved this for me

Thanks for the battery reminder, & I've also considered getting some
more black/elec tape.

I said that whatever got used the most would stay in the stable, well
it seems the Burgies usually win. But with the market on used K's being
what they are, it seem silly to just give it away, there are always those
days when the Uber scooter will fill the bill.

Enjoy the ride...
