My '95 has 41K. Runs fine.
Never has had a sync.
Should I look into that or let lying dogs lie?

I would check it. I thought mine ran fine when I got and then when I did the sync it ran even better. If you want it to run great change the fuel filter, the air filter, replace the plugs with NGK irridiums and do a sync via the butterflies. Then it will run great. I consistantly get 49-52 mpg on the highway. _________________ Rich

I never get close to the kind of fuel milage!! I get 42 to 43 mpg. Unless I'm sitting I-5 with the cruise set at 80mph, then the milage drops to 36.
I just did a TB sync, and the thing runs much better. I am interested to see if the milage goes up. _________________ '04 WR450f

Good evening all....
Isn't there a "TB sync procedure" somewhere in the stickies? I could swear we have been through this in detail at least twice ! If so, how do you research the archives, if possible ??

Drake,
Thanx, I think that will do it. As you say, looks pretty much straight forward except for the fairing stuff.
A friend with a R1150RT is buying a Morgan Carb. Tune Pro he says may be a good one for this job. Ever hear of it?

I bought the four tube one from across the pond when I first got the bike. It's the greatest thing since sliced bread for doing the syncs. _________________ Rich

That otter do the trick.
Haven't tried it yet but I think you might be able to get away with just pulling the knee panel. That works on an RS.
I did a write-up at IBMWR on K75RT fairing removal. It's not identical but pretty similar to a K1100LT:

Drake is correct. You can get to everything by just pulling the knee panel. But then I have little girly hands that fit in there. _________________ Rich

It was pretty simple for me to pull the tank. I was very low on gas, so the tank didn't wiegh much. There was two of us. One of held the tank, while the other fiddled with the scews. Worked fine. _________________ '04 WR450f

I'm splitting the cost of the Morgan Pro and will do the job when it arrives.
Thanx for all the info.
