|
|
Hi, I hope someone can help.
I had serious misfiring problems back in late December last year..
This misfire was worse on some days than others …. And some days disappeared completely. Occasionally the bike absolutely flies.
It has progressively improved over the last couple of months …. As we approach spring.
After driving home last week on a warm sunny afternoon it dawned on me what the problem was.
The bike performs a lot better when its warmer.
So, gentleman, again I ask for advice.
What is wrong with the bike?
What adjustment is required?
Does the CO value need altering?
Is it a case of adjusting the throttle bodies?
Do I need a new air filter?
As per usual, all advice welcome.
Thanks

Temperature sensor ? There are 2, one drives the gauge, check the other. _________________ Regards Tim,

And then there's the third temp sensor - for air intake temp on the box above the air filter. Seems like a likely culprit from the symptoms. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks lads.
Seems sensible it could be the Temperature sensor. I will check it out.
It wouldnt be the air/petrol mix though would it? _________________ "Lovely stuff" ...Not my words Michael... the words of Shakin' Stevens. |

| The temp sensor in the back of the airbox does affect the mixture, the motronic uses it with the TPS to calculate the air mass and so the correct amount of fuel to inject... |
