my brother's k11rs came with piaa lights. i asked for a part number but all he could locate was 1100x. upon some searching that seems to be a generic type of piaa light and none of the kits offered seem to be compatible with the k11rs. has anyone ordered piaas recently and can direct me to which kit is appropriate for a k11rs?
thanks! _________________ (formerly) 1993 k1100rs |

I have a set of the 1100X's on my K100, they are great. I mounted them on my forks. There are a couple of mounts for them that work. Toddlamp in the BMWMOA forum has a nice set as well as Martin Manufacturing. They are both generic fork mounts. Good luck.

The kit you want is the 1192X.
I'm installing them on my K now. Actually, they are semi installed. I bought fork mounts from Drake, but the first set is going on the fairing using a mount I made myself. It's really just a 9.5" piece of 1/8" thick aluminum stock I picked up at Home Despot.
Took a can of 97 cent matte black spray paint, and it looks pretty spiffy. The connectors on these are white, so I sprayed them as well. I contemplated painting the body of the lights to match the red on the bike, but I think I'll hold off on that. _________________ 79 Honda CB750 trainer
