Will a 1999 BMW R1100R with a power commander out run a stock 1993 K1100RS?

Having ridden both I would say on straights or sweepers, the K11 would stomp the R11. In the tight twisties, the R11 would be quicker.

I'd say it depends on the rider and how well dialed in the Power Commander is. Stock R1100R is 85 ponies. K1100RS is 100. I'd imagine that an R1100 with a PC would be right around where the stock RS is more or less. I'd base the decision more on personal ergos and personal preference for styling more than anything else.
If you want to kick ass on both of those then get a K1200RS. Prices are very reasonable on them these days.

| I was looking to purchase the R to go along with my K and the seller was saying it was faster than my K. I have owned a R without the Power Commander and found it difficult to believe, but guess it is possible. |
