Hi Chaps

Currently working on sorting out and setting up my recently aquired k11rs and need to know if the handlebars and mounts are the same for the 100rs as for the 1100rs

Many thanks
Andy

2v or 4V K100RS?

2V K100RS are different bars and mounts.

4VK100RS have the same fork tress and mounts as a K1100RS. The bars are more or less the same except that the K1100RS bars have the bar end mounts welded onto the end of them whereas the K100RS4V bar ends were inserted into the bars.

Ah; thought it may not be as simple as first thought!

the reason for the question is that i've been looking for bar risers in UK and not having much luck, however i have found a supplier of the following but they don't identify an 1100rs:

Moto-Techniques Handle Bar Riser F650, K100RS, K100RT/LT, K75/C, K75RT, K75S, R100GS/PD, R1100GS, R1
Product Code: 513-062
Description: Handle Bar Riser F650, K100RS, K100RT/LT, K75/C, K75RT, K75S, R100RS, R100GS/PD, R1100GS, R1150GS/ADVENTURE, R80GS/ST (1980-1987).

I'll ring the supplier today

Ah, very interesting.

I've just bought a 93 K1100RS without heated grips.

I've just picked up a genuine BMW heated grip kit for the bike, which surprised me by coming with handlebars. So I thought I'd just check to see if the bars already on the bike would accept the grip set when I saw that the end weights were part of the bars Shocked

The heated grip kit doesn't come with end weights, so what is the solution? I don't fancy hot but numb hands, so end weights are a must. All and any helpful replies welcomed.

David
