The right side mirror/turn signal--like a shy girl at the dance--remains unattached. Suggestions that I center it on the three mounting points and smack it smartly have left me with a bruised palm and the bike with some new cracks in the fairing.
I'm beginning to wonder how this puppy would look with a Windjammer on it....
I'm certainly open to any suggestions on getting this thing back on the bike, because i don't want to drive 165 miles back to Gina's BMW to admit I can't figure out how to put a turn signal on...
If you see a black KLR and not a black RS at the Dink Mini-Rally this weekend...that's me.

If they're anything like the LT mirrors, I put a dab of lithium grease on those little fingers/tabs, then push the mirror on with a bit of a bump - I never smack it smartly...
Even being careful, I've lost a bunch of the little fingers/tabs. Will have to think about buying another set of mirrors and getting them painted. _________________ Jim

They're different from the LT ones.
I carefully line them up and push them on gradually but somewhat forcefully. Putting some temporary lubricant(saliva) on the posts helps.
If the clips are shot then you can get new ones from the stealer for a buck or two each. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

I also had some trouble in putting back the left side mirror after a car knocked it to the ground (never got the chance to talk with the "gentleman" ).
Besides the difficulty in pushing it to place, I find it's not as perfect as it was. The left mirror vibrates more than the right-side one. When the engine is running, warming up, before riding, I can even hear a slight sound - I believe its a "micro gap" between the mirror and the fairing.
The only solution I thought at the time was replacing the mentioned "fingers". One was a little twisted. But, oh well, the mirror works, never came off while riding, so I won't touch it, for now. _________________ Carlos
