Let me start from the beginning......
Yesterday afternoon I'd finished servicing my K1100LT (1993) & had phoned up to pre book my MOT tomorrow (Today) when the screen malfunctioned.
So after abit of investigation & the feeling that as I had the screen off I may aswell change that blown instrument bulb I've been ignoring for years.
& I'll have to do abit of rust treatment & painting aswell ! 
Question for UK members :
I'm gonna order my green instrument bulbs from Moto-bins or Motorworks, does anyone know of anywhere better ?
I was considering an LED "upgrade" but it would take too long to send for them off Drake & I don't know enough about them to source my own.
I don't just want cheap bulbs , they've gotta last a fair bit as it's a real pain to remove the instuments. (Esp considering I lost half my thumb in a motorcycle chain a few months back!  )
Also a couple of the long screws that hold the instrument base on are knackered , does anyone know where to best source them ?[/u]

Stagonset Ltd. supply stainless metric fasteners in any quantity (no minimum). Stainless will prevent rusting and potential knackering in the future.

Ta, 
If anyone want's any specific pics of owt while I've got the screen, motor, instruments removed please ask & I'll take a pic.
Just ordered 5 new green instrument bulbs from Moto-bins, came to £9.58. (That included the VAT and P&P)

Well I've completed the screen & instrument cluster repair, recon etc... & everything looks & works fine.
I have taken plenty of pictures of various stages of the jobs & once sorted & I have a little time I'll try & post them into a useful tech item.
I had to recondition & replace many bits & bobs (& I had to even fabricate some myself)
Two things I did a couple of days back, first was a bracket that had snapped off & the second was not bike related :
