Recently changed my front master cylinder. Went to get a safety inspection afterwards and found out my brake light was on steady (not sure how long this was happening). Came home, adjusted my rear brake limit switch (found out it that was sticking in the on position) and thought that was the problem. I then tested my front brake limit switch and found out it worked intermittently. Took the front brake limit switch off and sprayed it with a little w-d40 and it seemed to work. Mounted it back on and again it was intermittent. During all of this the abs lights would flash and not clear after I started rolling and applied the brakes as it usually does. I replaced the limit switch, all is well now with the brake lights but I still have the blinking ABS syndrome. The only other thing I did in the course of this maintenance was top off the rear brake reservoir. Any ideas how I can correct this?

Do you know how old the battery is? If the battery is more than a few years old, have it checked. If it's weak, it'll cause the ABS lights to flash.

The battery is less than a year old but I've been turning on the lights to check my brake switch actuations. The battery power seemed fine when I started it today and took a small ride around the corner and back. However, I guess the charge could be just under the threshold. I'll take it for a longer ride in the morning and see if the problem goes away. Thanks for the response...

I'm guessing yours is ABS 1, if it enters a low voltage fault, then it needs to be reset, see tech stickies for "how to".
If ABS 2 it will auto reset once the battery is fully charged.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I was having a little problem with my login.
Anyway, first, what I meant by limit switch was in fact the correct name "micro switch". Secondly, I did the reset by instruction of the "sticky" and that did the trick. Thank you folks so much for the helping me out. I can ride now without that bugging me and worrying that I might have had a bigger problem.
