93 K1100LT coolant header starts doing the fountain thing while the temp gauge is only reading 11'o clock (i.e. one mark left of centre)
needless to say no fan by this point. Coolant itself is a lovely see through blue. no rust, not much steam at all
Am I right in going for the rad cap? _________________ Bikes:

Two things,
It will do that if you have an air lock. Get it up to temperature whilst squeezing the bottom hose intermittantly, as per the manual.
I have a known good thermostat here in Notts, postage is cheaper than the £21 it cost to find it wasn't that. _________________ Regards Tim,
