It was kind of overcast but that was good because it meant no traffic and no squids.
We met here:
After Johnny figured out how to get his zipper to work, we headed up Glendora Mt. Road.
We stopped at an overlook where I took this panorama shot:

From that road we headed to Mt. Baldy on this 1.5 lane road:
Then we headed back:
When we got back to the intersection, we saw this 5k 94 RS parked there. We BS'd with the owner for a while:

We stopped here for lunch:

We'd ridden down this on the way down so after lunch so we knew it was gravel free on the way back up - YEEHAW!
Nice scenery:
We headed back to Mt. Baldy and then south to Uplands where we parted ways at the 210.
We didn't get many miles in but we certainly got a lot of good riding in.

So FD, if you had to have only one bike for long hauls and for a fair amount of twisties, would you pick the LT or the RS, all up including economy considered.

If I have to wear a helmet then I'll take the RS. I keep the LT for riding states east of me where I can ride without a helmet. (Yeah, I know, I know, but something appeals to me about riding without a helmet.)
If I could only keep one then it would be the RS because it's better for riding twisties hard since you can get your torso forward over the bike and it has sportier ergos. The LT is fun too though.
If I were planning to do lots of long days I think the LT would be the ticket because the ergos are very relaxed.
They really ride a lot more differently than most people might assume. JO had an LT for a while and he and I agree on this.
I probably would've taken the RS down here this year since I was riding the coast but it's due for a spline lube probably (50k) and the tread on the front tire is getting down. Besides, it was the LT's turn to go to California. I didn't want it getting jealous.
