Bought something off of CL yesterday. The guy had an R1100GS. He had one of these installed:

After seeing it in person I'm impressed. A little spendy at $120 each but you get what you pay for I suppose.

I have these on the LT. I have a set of amber flood and white narrow beam. They are really bright, water proof and easy to change out. I got mine from here

http://www.magnalight.com/pc-2046-283-led-light--10-watts--1-x-10-watt--800-lumens--2-inch-square--stud-mount--9-50vdc.aspx

These are great lights and don't use a lot of power.

That's interesting. They claim 800 lumens on yours. Vision X says theirs are the brightest at 600 lumens,

It's hard to tell from that page but do they make a white in a spot?

The issue I have with lighting is that most driving lights cut the beam off at the top. I've been trying to find a small (or at least acceptable size for a motorcycle) spot light that doesn't but the beam off at the top. HID if possible.

I've got a 90/100 Xenon H4 so my headlight is fine up to 80mph at night but the problem is riding twisties in the dark. Since my FF50s cut the beam off at the top I can't see through the turns so it limits my speed. (Which is why I think the changing angle headlight on the 1600 would be a cool feature.)

The smallest spotlights I can find are for off-road cars and those are 4" which is too big.

Trailtech has HID spots but those are $180 each which is more than I want to spend.

Yes they make a spot and a flood. Here is some more info on the coverage patterns.

http://magnalight.com/pdfdocs/spotflood.pdf

I have the white in spot and it shines pretty far down the road. I have the amber in flood and I use those more to be seen than anything else. When I was coming back from HM this year I hit some heavy fog and they helped out.
