I did notice that the left ABS "can" is not in the normal ABS 1 position or is it gone? (or is that the norm for a K1?)

You are right, it is a bit of a dog. Wonder how many of the bodywork anchors have been broken off and what else is cracked. Looking like that I doubt that someone took good mechanical care of the running gear. It's not like there are many replacement parts out there.

Could be a good project but it would need a good looking over. Maybe $1500- $1800?

I have a black K1 without the graphics installed. Still have them in a tube though. The lean forward riding position is much more exaggerated compared to the K1100RS. For that reason it does not get many road miles other than riding it around the compound to keep it fresh.
