can we move this to dungeon? It was a bad joke that was called too early for this to still be in tech. And if by some miracle it isn't a joke it has nothing to do with tech as this person sold the k11 to a dealer for $500 after spending $5k to buy it. That belongs in dungeon just so bugzilla isn't forever reminded of wasteing $4.5k on the bike.
just starting on my k11 adventure!

Why do you treat me like this. I only came here for advice. Then I kept you informed of the situation. I know it is a K75. Am I not welcome here?

Even if you're inclined to believe everything else on this post, you have to really suspend reality to think someone would pay $5000 for a beat up brick with 179000 miles on it.

I am so confused.

Someone let me know when we get the real deal figured out here. (Can't Mods check the IP addresses of posts?)

I really think it was JO the whole time, but what do I know?

I have not and will not at any time post anything anywhere pretending to be J. O..

When I was picking up that awful K11RS, Johnny was telling me about using hemorrhoid cream on man boobs to firm them up. I think he is a schizophrenic bipolar at the least.

I just finished armoralling all the plastic and rubber pieces on the Silver Flying Brick.

I even did the inside of the cases.

Image

I did the seat and under seat. Look, I have tools.

Image

I did the tires. The tires are so shiny I'm hating to lean it in the turns and wear off all that shiny rubber.

For now, gone riding.

Costco sells a 4 pack of tire black that you just spray on and walk away from.
Instructions do say not to use on motorcycle tires, though, something about making them slick. Take it easy in the twisties! :D

Yeah - and I sure as hell wouldn't ArmorAll the seat. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't use ArmorAll at all - only Son-of-a-Gun - and I wouldn't use that on the seat.

ArmorAlll will rot your tires, BTW. You never want anything slippery on the saddle - or the tires...

Son-of-a-Gun is a much better product.

Out of four years of Old Geezer threads, this was my favorite.

Shall we say, an interesting...

study of human nature...

Off the grid wrote:...No offense, but misrepresentation and wasting good peoples time is low.

Oh, c'mon. It was time well spent for this Old Geezer! But then again, I'm probably not exactly a "good people."

This was a high point:

Ted wrote:Ahh the pictures -- Owrstrich is a lifelong Democrat and fierce supporter of Obama and Pelosi, when he first started posting here he was spending much of his time using the bike to run new voter registration forms to ACORN volunteers in the field. I am betting if you look closely you might still see faint outlines where he had plastered reflective Obama stickers all over the back of the bike (though he did mention after removing them using some environmentally-friendly solvent to remove the sticker residue before he sold it - Soy-40 or something like that?) I was sorry to hear he sold the bike to get into a $50k a plate fundraiser just so he could get a picture with Nancy Pelosi, in my opinion that is not a great reason to sell a bike whatever your politics are.

But this tops it:

brickzilla wrote:They said he used the least expensive oil and the most expensive tires... This is what happened... The next day he was at the Motorcycle Supermall trying on riding pants and got his foot caught on the knee pad and fell and broke his leg in 2 places...

Figured out surging/stalling issue

Postby aguirrl » Mon Jun 07, 2010 11:23 pm

I had posted up this issue with regards to the K bike. After all the digging and checking it turns out it was a bad O2 sensor.

I ended up finding out as I left for Torrey, UT Rally 2 weeks ago. A tech guru told to pull/disconnect the O2 sensor under the seat. It worked! Ran much better. It didn't stall anymore. Now to decide whether to buy another O2 sensor at $230 plus...eh, I can live with it...
