retro fit a radio? ral88

Hey RAL88 U on here? what part of the new stero did u cabbage up to get it to power up in the bmw mount?take the contact off the bottom of a bmw radio to put on your new stereo?
My bmw radio dont seem to get very many statoins and if I push the scan butten on my remote,it wont lock on a station at all,just keeps scaning?
may get a remote like you and Duck

Hey Keith,

The first thing I would check is that your antenna is plugged into the back of the radio. It may be getting a weak signal if it is not plugged in all the way. If that is not the problem then using the electrical diagram in Clymers you can mount the new radio using the new radios plug and cutting off the bmw plug. If you don't have the diagram send me a pm with your e-mail and I will send you a copy.

Hey Keith,

If you 'double press'' your scan button, it should go into a mode of more sensitive scanning. Have you tried that?
