Here's an option of what can be done to a K1100RS should you ever feel the need for a REALLY radical change in appearance! First K Streetfighter I've ever seen :)

Found this while googling for K1100RS images :P

The bike sucks, but at least the air box is more accessible.

It proves that idiots seldom differ.

Chris,

I remember seeing this (or something very similar) posted somewhere a while back- possibly BMWMOA?

Interesting- just not my taste. However I do like the finish on the fuel tank.

The tank is covered in truck bed liner.

That pic has made the rounds a few times. Some guy in the San Diego area was selling it on Craig's List.

I think the point is weight and heat reduction or what to do with a salvage bike. Although that wouldn't explain the white wheels or baby blue brake calipers.

Not a K1100RS but a K100, gotta say, good job! This cafe-racer type look seems to work well with this K :)

Ooo Ooo can I do it.

OTG, save a little jizz for this.... :P

As soon as I can finish the tranny re-build I'll be pulling the Shop Whore into the basement.

The plan includes:

Black satin powder coat frame, rims, final drive, shaft case, center stand, side stand, transmission housing, oil pan, engine block, head cover, front forks, handle bars, brake pedal, shifter, brake calipers and triple clamps.

All the fitting, nuts and bolts will be powder coated as well.

All the plactic will be high gloss, deep, liquid black.

New saddle cover will be black leather with gray piping.

The BMW rondels will be subdued black and gray.

Black steel brake lines.

If time and money are there, it should still take me a year.

I'll also will be opening the block, honing the cylinders, replacing rings, and replaceing the timing chain just for shits and grins.

The long road is a rainbow and the pot of gold lies there.
So slip the chain and I'm off again,
You'll find me everywhere. I'm a Rover. - JT

I really quite like that, Wouldn't do that to my LT, but then that's not why you buy a machine like the LT is it.

Bike was built here in the valley, in Pacoima by a buddy of mine who also is a salvage dealer. It is a salvage snotter turned streetfighter. Crazy scary to ride.
