I did have a failure several years ago on my '92 K-RS.

Fixed it with a set of Oxford HG with 5 position LED switch.

I have a CTEK battery charger and really like it.

I have even used it overnight on my pickup starting battery before it is back on the road after the snow and ice disappears.
