The other day I rolled the k1100 out of the garage. Went to start it and nothing. No familiar fuel pump wurrr. I checked and side stand was up. But nothing. Gave up and took the car back to the office. After work I got home went to try starting it after having sat in the sun through the afternoon -- vrrroommm... instantly. BUT! There was THIS part laying below the bike. Have not been able to I-D it from parts diagrams. Pretty cruddy on the underside so I can't tell where it fell from and what it's going to take to remount. Until then I'm hesitant to ride in case something else falls off. Yipes!

It's a bracket that supports the exhaust on the right side of the square box part of the exhaust.
You won't crash if you ride without it. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

The side stand switch can be finicky. I had an issue with that on one of my K1100s. I solved the issue by putting a short piece of vacuum hose on the tang the pushes on the side stand switch to make sure that it does a better job of engaging the switch. Easy peasy. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
