let's just get this out in the open right here and now. You CAN wheelie K bikes, and here are photos to prove it. Feel free to add your own pictures.

Ducatipaso,
I'm a fan of the Wheelie, and can wheelie my trail bike in my opinion at random, I've grown up on dirt bikes.
My K11LT is the first road bike that more than anything I'm NOT confident to wheelie, just for the pure fact that I expect to drop the clutch and hear crunch crunch snap, not like a chain driven bike.
We had the police attend one of our tail bike meetings (when we were looking at search & rescue) and one of the police that attended loved the K11LT as they were police bikes here in AUS, he thought that they were one of the best bikes to ride on dirt (as far as dirt roads and road bikes go) but his only complaint was that after numerous Wheelies the front fairing mounting brackets break, no complaint about drive shaft failure.

I feel worried doing a wheelie on a dirtbike (I've always hated unicycles ever since that clown frightened me at the circus when I was a wee young lad), I would never consider doing one on my K-bike, I love it too much to disrespect it. _________________ Regards,

Ran across this the other day. It's a cop doing a wheelie on a K75RTP. I guess you can do that stuff if you're not picking up the maintenance tab.

| What about power wheelies in first? Especially if you rock and pull it back you can get it up for a good half second.. and there's no risk of flippin over like the sport bikes... |

Here's a couple of K1100LT wheelie pics
Notice the lack of a helmet in the second one. That guy has brass ones.
I've seen Allen's K11RS with the K12 engine. That thing could pop a wheelie easily. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Anyone who wheelies a K1100 deserves to be horsewhipped for cruelty to such a fine bit of machinery. _________________ Pictureman from Yorkshire

| I've always been told you can't wheelie the K11's because they're too heavy, and I would never do a clutch wheelie and damage my clutch and driveshaft, but last night I did a power wheelie in first and got the front wheel WAY up. I'm gonna get a picture soon. I've been playing with it for a while and getting it up three to inches but this time i really used momentum and pulled it back while going from 3k rpm to the wall, in first, and it came up at least three and a half feet. |

Did you know that our k11 is on tv? besides some "scifi movies" it's quite often to see in a music video from aerosmith... "AMAZING"
mystic red k11rs... it does wheelie and they f*** on it but the video is quite good... of course because of the bike
i got it on dvd, but is it allowed to post some "parts" of it? i would have to cut it a litle _________________ Ride safe, best wishes from K11's hometown! |

Ah, yes. I remember when this video came out. I used to think that having a red KRS could get you someone like Alicia Silverstone. Now I know that the second video is closer to true life. _________________ tlp
