These first two are from Monday:
Early departure:
Sun setting on Mt. Shasta once I finally cleared the rain and snow:
Wednesday morning - south of Carmel heading towards Big Sur:
Point Sur:
Highway 1:
Piedras Blancas lighthouse:
Lazy sealions:
In a state filled with great riding roads, Hwy 58 stands out as one of the best roads in CA. Aside from the excellent pavement, lack of gravel and variety of riding terrain, the road has virtually no traffic. (which also means there isn't much revenue there for the CHP. ) IT's a great place to hammer the throttle and push your bike. In a word, NIRVANA.
The sun setting in my mirrors as I finish 58. The only problem with this road is that it's only got 60 miles of good riding. If only it could go on forever......

Nice pics Drake.
You and Johnny O make me crazy when your Bagster tank bras don't line up with the badge holes. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Great pics Drake. Yeah, Hwy 58 is awesome, as is Hwy 33 into Ojai. Good riding country. There is a great little Mexican restaurant right on the main drag in Santa Margarita that has an outdoor patio in the back that is perfect after riding that road in the summertime.
Cheers,

Nice roads Duck, my brother in Desert Palm has been trying to talk me into moving to California. Those roads making it enticing and the weather looks better then Connecticut. _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!
I like the social aspect of riding. Rally's, socializing, drinking beer, fartin' and carrying on.

What with the weather, the roads and lane-splitting being legal, CA is certainly an awesome place to ride.
Heck, all of the western states have great riding. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
