we slabbed it up to azusa and took the 39 north to where its closed... we turned around and took east fork road to glendora mountian road where we went right instead of left... it was our intention to go to mt baldy village... i knew we went the wrong way but after coming down the mountian we decided to save mt baldy village for another day...
there were several sportbikers dragging their knees as we cruised the bug eye brick at a comfortable 2 up pace... then on a tight blind right hander a truck full of local monekys was 100% in my lane until at the apex... i pushed hard on the right grip and missed the monkeys by an inch on the left side and the sheer rock wall on the right by less than an inch... my passenger was yelling for me to stop... it took her a half an hour to get it together for the rest of the ride down the mountain...
it was a glorious day... never let your guard down...
azusa...
headed into the hills...
yeeee ha...
san gabriel reservoir
mt baldy in the back ground...

Hate those near-misses. They stay with you for a while.
