Does this look like a Corbin seat? Isn't that a stock BMW belly pan? If it is a Corbin can a passenger backrest be added?

Michael

Stock seat pan. Therefore not a Corbin. I don't think a stock seat pan would support a passenger backrest.

(You shouldn't be riding 2-up anyhow. Razz )

That seat looks like the stock K11LT comfort seat.

That's definitely a BMW 'comfort' seat. Another way to tell is to try riding more than a short distance on it. You will likely develop a serious ache in your tail end. I believe that 'comfort' is German for 'torture'.

Not a Corbin, so any ideas on a good after market seat, or doing something to this seat.

You really can't do anything with that seat.

Options:

1) Buy a Corbin with a backrest mount.

2) Buy a Reynolds Rack w/ a backrest.

3) Convert the rear end to hold the ugly unstable K1100LT topcase w/ backrest pad. (I don't recommend #3 but it is an option.)

4) I think Russell also makes seats with backrests.

IMHO:

1) Only if you have a Corbin backside...

2) The best option, but good luck finding one...

3) Unless you need to transport anvils, or bowling balls not a good
idea, too much weight located in the wrong place...

4) Ru$$ell makes the best seat...
