if you have a gps that doesn't provide tracking, or, if you want tracking and don't want a gps - here's the solution: http://www.trackstick.com/ _________________ Jim

You can get a pretty good handheld GPS for $200 though.
I'd buy one if I had kids. Leave it the car. Then you can see where they've been and if they're attempting land speed records in your car. Not that I ever did that when I was young. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Yeah - but most handhelds won't have the memory capacity for tracking long trips. The SPIII can't track as far as this little Trackstick. A nice thing about the Trackstick is the way it integrates with google maps. _________________ Jim

The old Magellan Meridian handheld I use will store the 2000 most recent ttack points. Which is more than enoguh for a day of riding. At the end of every day, I save the track to the SD card inside.
Even my ancient(1999) Magellan 315 stored 1200 track points and was good for a day's ride. (But it didn't have an SD card for additional storage.)
But yes, the Trackstick does have it's virtues. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
