There is a first time for everything. For the first time in my 43 years on the planet I lost control of my bike while I was pushing it in a garage and it tipped over. Broke off the rivets on the saddle bag latch that holds it to the mount so I had to strap it to ride home. Some scratches on the fairing and the mirror popped off. Got it back on, no problem. The only thing really hurt was my pride, of course I did this in front of some of the member of my local BMW club. I fixed the saddle bag yesterday, no problem. Now I just need to get some touch up paint.

Lucky...could have been worse.

Make sure you check your fairing alignment.

Worth checking the bracket where it bolts to the frame front (4 x 6mm Bolts) they snap off at the corners. A good clue is the gaps between tank & pockets not being equal on both sides.

I can’t count the times I’ve dropped my bikes.
Here’s one that was an especially painful.

I’d been riding in a cold rain for hours. I stopped on the Blue Ridge Parkway, opened my left side pannier to pull out my warmer gear, closed the pannier and in doing so PUSHED my on bike over on the right side!!!!!!!!! Embarassed

Little did I realize I had parked a slope so that there was little or no lean angle to the parked bike.

Shit, shit, shit! Evil or Very Mad

My first thought was I hope the next person to drive would help me pick it up, followed by I hope they wouldn’t be on motorcycles.

Both my prayers were answered. Wink
