So I was checking mirror prices online. I doubt buying primed and painting it with Kryolan would look good. However, I noticed I can get it painted direct from BMW.

Pricing aside... What's the difference between Classic Black and Nacht Schwartz (Night Black)? My K1100LT is color code 721 (Aspen Silver/Nacht Schwartz), but mirrors aren't available in that black, but are in Classic black. Is Classic not as dark? Or is Night Black darker? Or are they essentially the same? I don't want to buy classic and have the two mirrors stick out like sore thumbs...

Not sure the mix difference, but regardless of what code you get, your probably not going to have an exact match from age fading of your bike finish anyway.
I bought a mirror with the same paint code as my bike, it's close, but you can tell it doesn't exactly match.

Ride Safe

Yeah, I expect it'll be a little off. I'm just trying to avoid a glaring difference.

I have a Classic Black Metallic code 679 bike. When the sun hits the metal flake at a certain angle you can see a dark green tint.
Check out this link for more paint codes:

Thanks, that's all I needed to know. Night Black is not metallic. Classic Black is, so it would be a bad choice...
