was going to meet up with mnb in san jose but he had boobies to tend to... i think he said boobies...
then the plan was to meet our buddy on his harley davidson in fremont... thats where we stored the bue eye brick last year when the engine in our truck was blown... the plan was THE 25 down to paso robles then return on THE 1...
anyway... last night we pulled out of hell... i mean salinas ca... then found ourselves in morgan hill ca... just off THE 101... which is south of san jose and north of gilroy...
however... last night... when unloading the bug eye brick... the seal in the hydraulic pump squirted out enough juice so it didnt have the poop to lift a squid...
so i had to go back to gilroy and unload our gear... then come back to morgan hill for the night... today i located another hydraulic pump in salinas of all places... so we hopped on THE 101... went back to salinas and scored the new unit... with the day shot we headed up THE 1 to phils at moss landing... which was our very first 2 up destination 55 weeks ago today...
a giant bowl of phils cioppino...
watched the otters for a while... got a video of the little critter rolling and scratching but its not good quality... the sleepers never woke up...
lions... chatting it up like monekys...
so we retraced our tracks over the hocker pass back to THE 101 and back to morgan hill ca...
o well... going to do 4 sierra passes out of tracy next weekend... THE 88... THE 4... THE 108... THE 120... thats the plan anyway...
